We bought these boots to protect the foot of one of our greyhounds. One of his pads would bleed if he spent much time outside in our gravel yard, or went for a walk. The vet couldn't find a reason, so a boot was the best option. We did find that the seam on the inside of the boot rubbed his skin, but we now use a sock inside the boot and have no issues. I like the velcro closure so I can keep it snug and avoid it slipping off. The material on the bottom is not meant for rugged surfaces and will wear out over time. The nails can puncture the edge if you buy a size too small or don't keep nails trimmed well. As basic foot protection for outdoors, this boot is everything we need.
