Not waterproof. Think I got a dud because water leaks in on the top front seams... not good considering I got them to work outside which I do yearround in Chicago thru rain and show.
I work outside in Chicago year round abd bike and run outside for work. Needed waterproof cold weather biking walking ruining shoes. I think these Jay might be defective with a poor seam... they allow water in the fronttoe area. .. really expensive so I am very unhappy with that
These shoes are getting ready to go on the John Muir Trail. So far on training hikes I have had zero blisters, excellent room and protection from the toe box, and the built in gaiters are a plus. A very comfortable and well made shoe. One word of caution: La Sportivas run small! I had to go up a size and a half conversion from the European shoe size. I've been wearing La Sportivas for about three years and this has been the rule, not the exception when it comes to size.
