The world's lightest full-featured down jacket. The sub-eight-ounce Ghost Whisperer Down packs the reliable warmth of our 850-fill Q.Shield™ DOWN that resists moisture to retain loft even in damp conditions. Zip-pockets and a single pull cinch hem keep it simple. Quilted construction holds insulation in place. Apparel Fit: Active. Center Back Length: 25" / 64 cm. Body: Whisperer 7D x 10D Ripstop / 100% nylon. Insulation: Q.Shield™ 850er Daune.

Q.Shield with ion-mask™ technology fuses extreme water repellency directly into shell fabrics. Q.Shield gloves repel water like a force-field. Dunk a Q.Shield glove in water and it will come out completely dry. The treatment has no effect on feel or breathability and will perform for the life of the glove.

Ghost Whisperer Fabric
Ghost Whisperer is a fabric so unique there's only one mill in the world that can weave it. Mountain Hardwear developed this super-lightweight fabric as part of their Ueli Steck Project, a collaboration with speed alpinist Ueli Steck to reinvent climbing apparel and equipment for the next generation of ultrafast alpinists. The Ghost Whisperer fabric's super-tight weave is naturally downproof, windproof and water repellent. While some claim to offer lighter fabrics, the Ghost Whisperer is the world's only true 7 denier by 10 denier fabric, using single 7d and 10d yarns rather than pairs of strands.

I am a petite woman and bought a size medium for layering beneath. It's a little too baggy for that reason, but I wore it out today in 40-degree weather with only a light thermal underneath, and it blocked the wind and maintained my body heat well. Given I was also hiking around so I didn't get a feel for idle warmth, but it seems like a great investment. The item is incredibly light. My only concern is that the front zipper seems weak and does not unlatch easily, and the elastic cuffs are pretty wide. You'll want a scarf as the neck hole is also wide.

Quality of product is excellent. Looking to use for climbing and hiking. Great product.
