Have you ever experienced a time when your phone took forever to charge, or even worse, died while on the charger? The Practical Meter solves these problems by providing real-time feedback on how fast your device is charging. The Practical Meter is compatible with all USB ports, charging cables, and devices (smartphones/tablets included) and is super easy to use.

USB stands for Universal Serial Bus, but nowadays USB is not so universal. There are versions 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 of USB, all of which have differing power requirements. On top of this, some manufactures add their own proprietary blend into the mix, making it so their devices work best only with their own brand of chargers. Accidentally using a bad combination of power sources and cables won't hurt your device, but can lead to charge times up to 4 times longer.

The choice of charging cable can have a huge effect on phone charging speeds. There are two types of USB cables, charge only and sync/data. With all the different USB standards, USB charging ports can perform differently with each type of cable. Often times, a charge only cable with charge faster than the sync/data cable (every smartphone ships with a sync/data cable). Having a Practical Meter allows anyone to test the USB cable/port combination to ensure max charging speeds.

How it works: Plug in between any USB cable and USB port. The lights tell you the output. More blue lights = faster charge times. 1 red light indicates that power is available from a USB power source. 1-5 blue lights indicate 1-5W of power, respectively. In high power mode, the first LED will blink red/blue. While in this mode, 1-5 lights indicates 6-10W of power, respectively.

Includes: Practical Meter, and Fast Charge 3-in-1 Cable.
