DETAILSPolycarb canister requires the use of the pot and handle to properly function as a bear canister. Handle fits within the top of the canister, acts as an internal support, and is essential to the working of the locking mechanism. The pot acts as a lid to either size canister (Big Daddy or Lil' Sami). Light1 canisters are approved by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Comittee (IGBC) for use in National Parks. It has also been individually approved by Yosemite, Denali, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Glacier, and Rocky Mt. National Parks.

Just what I wanted. Great shipping ordered on a Monday and had it Tuesday afternoon with their regular shipping thanks Mike
I use this product to store my food back packing in the wilderness where there may be bears around. It has a dual purpose with the lid turns into a cooking pan. I like carrying a iteam that can be used for more than one purpose. I highly recommend this product for the true adventure person!
...I'm heading out to Rocky Mountain National Park, where bear-proof canisters are required for overnight trips in the backcountry... \nThe Lighter1 Lil'Sami is compact, light weight, well made and can be "worn" inside or outside just about any size pack. This makes it ideal for the typical 2 or 3 day "fast-packing" backcountry excursion within any of our National Parks, where the emphasis is on taking in as many views as possible in a limited amount of time.
I've taken this out on its first spin and it's great and lightweight
