Comfortable right out of the box. True to size, exactly what I was looking for in my shoe. Great quality of workmanship. I'm new to the Oboz brand and have already ordered 2 pairs.
Runs about a 1/2 size small; very well made shoe. The fit is very comfortable, but will feel a bit stiff until the shoe is broken in. With the moisture barrier, the shoe does tend to get warm inside, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. This has turned into my everyday shoe. The only negative about this shoe is that the sole can be slippery on wet surfaces.
This is my 2nd pair of Oboz Firebrand II's. I wear them when I play disc golf. They're durable, waterproof and extremely comfortable. It's not uncommon to walk 8 to 10 miles on a typical disc golf outing. These shoes are ideal for the sport. The "old" pair is now retired. I wear them when I mow the lawn. I'm pretty sure I'll get another year or two of life out of them.
My husband LOVES these shoes. He actually wanted 2 pairs so that he could keep one clean! He states that they fit great (he normally wears a 10.5, but ordered an 11). On our first 6 mile hike, they didn't rub or cause any blisters or pain.
