Tried, tested, and trusted for years by climbers near and far, Black Diamond Anodized Stoppers belong on every trad climber's rack. From granite fissures to sandstone cracks, these nuts feature a transverse taper, which is fancy language for their ability to work in flaring crevices and asymmetrical constrictions. When your buddy oversets one of these stoppers on a scary lead, you'll appreciate the rounded edges which make these chocks much easier to clean than other passive protection. Embrace the gear that ushered in the clean climbing revolution and invest in these Anodized Stoppers.

Classic Stopper Set

These nuts are pretty much the standard for trad climbing. Good range of sizes, easy to place, and durable all at a good price point. Add them to your rack!

Most popular nuts in the US

Across the pond, DMM and Wild Country nuts are the clear favorite. In the US, the BD Stoppers seem to be the standard. I've used mine for years and quite like them, but I have to admit it's probably because I'm so used to them. I think they are a good general purpose nut, and your partners will be familiar with them. That said, there are specialty options out there to save weight or disguise yourself as a Brit.

We won't do anything without asking your permission first. These are your images, we just hope they can help future outdoor enthusiasts find the gear they need.
