The world's best selling and most-trusted camming device, the Camalot features a double-axle design that offers unparalleled performance. The gold standard for camming units, Black Diamond Camalots' double-axle design allows retraction of larger cam lobes, giving them a much larger expansion range than traditional single-axle units. They are lightweight, the cable loop and trigger are easy to grab, and our patented slings are large enough to manipulate with gloves. Accept no substitutes. SPECS: .3 - Range 13.8-23.4mm. Trusted for a reason

These cams are the industry standard for a reason. Lightweight and trusty. Your friends probably have these, too, so add them to your rack

The standard

There's a reason why most climbing books and internet forums recommend these when building your rack. They are solidly built, and the overlap in range is good.

amazing coverage

Definitely the standard, is complimented well by other cams (even in the mid sizes). If you're looking to build a rack, consider pairing a set of BD with a couple friends or flexcams to make doubles (0.5-3 & #4-#7) as they sit between the bd sizes https://mojagear.com/learn/2014/05/19/cam-range-comparisons/

THE Standard.

Camalots are absolutely the standard that all other cams are compared to. They just work. Really, really well. As a bonus, many folks use Camalot sizes to describe ***** sizes and they're so common that all your partners will be familiar with them. I like Totem Cams in the sizes below #1 Camalot, but they're spendy. If you can afford it, the Ultralight Camalots are pretty snazzy too.

We won't do anything without asking your permission first. These are your images, we just hope they can help future outdoor enthusiasts find the gear they need.
