When ski adventures meet alpine climbing exploits, turn to the incredibly lightweight and packable Couloir Harness. Compressed and stowed in the included stuff sack, this feather of a harness is about the size of a can of corn while weighing significantly less. Technical mountaineering often involves skis and crampons and the Couloir Harness accommodates this gear with quick release leg loops, meaning you don't have to remove your mode of mountain transport every time you put on or take off your harness. The low profile gear loops stash a technical rack without getting in the way and the ice clipper slots allow your to carry a couple of screws for steep ice encounters. The Black Diamond Couloir Harness is the perfect mesh of full strength performance and ultralight packability.
  • Two gear loops and four ice clipper slots
  • Quick-release leg loops make for easy on and off while wearing skis or crampons
  • Ultralight design packs down into pocket-sized stuff sack

Great glacier / ski mountaineering harness

The BD Couloir is a staple for ski mountaineering and glacier travel. It's lightweight and packs down incredibly small, so it's no big deal to carry on days you "might" need a harness. This site shows an orange version and blue version. The blue version is the newest version, and the orange is discontinued. I have the orange. It looks like they made a few improvements to make the new version more comfortable, but it seems similar overall.

We won't do anything without asking your permission first. These are your images, we just hope they can help future outdoor enthusiasts find the gear they need.
