Nice, but room for improvement.

This is a preliminary review, as it's early in the season and my use of these bindings has been limited. On the plus side of things, these bindings have that familiar Burton feel. The heel straps are as good as you'll find and the highbacks have a nice feel and moderate flex to them. The negative forward lean improves the touring experience and the Spark interface is simple and well executed. On the down side, the climbing wire is awkward to get at. Spark makes an improved version of the wire, which gets a small tab that sticks out and makes for (presumably) easier use with touring poles. Why these aren't a standard feature is beyond me, but you can correct the issue for $25.00. The forward lean selection on the bindings could use some improvements. Yes, it's tool free, but the markings are not clear for quickly selecting your preferred angles when switching out of touring mode. Other options on the market have far simpler solutions that work better for dialing in forward lean.
