The evolution of the Nano continues. Following the popular Nano Wire and Nano 23, the new Nano 22 is even lighter, stronger, and more functional. The Nano 22 features a completely new design with a stronger open gate strength, a deeper basket for holding the rope in its proper position, and a refined gate for smooth, easy clipping. At 22 grams, the Nano 22 is the lightest fully-functional carabiner on the market with unique attributes that set it apart from other smaller carabiners. Like an inner working space large enough to use a clove hitch with ropes of any diameter, a gate opening wide enough for easy clipping on the sharp end, a profiled nose that slips in and out of tight chain links, and 8 colors for racking cams. As the trend towards lighter and faster, bigger and bolder continues, the Nano continues to set the standard for carabiners in the area of lightweight functionality.

Great, affordable carabiner

I use these to rack gear, alpine draws, and use in anchor building. They are nice and light, but the gate opening feels big enough when working with them on an anchor, or clipping draws or the rope. Best of all they are easy on the wallet!

Excellent, but not for everybody or everything

These are the lightest usable (in my option) carabiners available. Sure the Edelrid 19 is 3g lighter, but I think they're too small to be very useful. These CAMP Nano 22's are outrageously light and an excellent choice for lightening your rack of cams, draws, and/or alpine draws. The downside is I find them slightly tough to clip on hard routes where you're pumped, scared, or maxed out. If reducing approach weight and going fast on long routes is your goal, these are perfect. If cragging or climbing routes at your limit, I'd go for something a bit more easy to handle but still light, like the DMM Phanotom, Trango Phase, or BD Oz.

My favorite racking biner

Love these. They are perfect for racking cams and for the hanger end of light sport draws. I rack all my cams by BD colors, and the Nanos have the same colors, so that works well. They are small enough to save some bulk on my harness, yet not so small that they are a pain to use. I find them much better than the smaller BD or Met biners. They are also great for the hanger end of sport draws. I have a set of draws with these on the hanger end and they are easy to clip and then you can use the weight savings for bigger cams on the rope end.
