    Comfortable intermediate shoes

This is the first upgrade from my beginner tarantulace and the shoes hug my feet so nicely! I specifically looked for a pair of all-around shoes with stiff soles for small edges. For reference, my street shoe size is women 8.5 and got this pair in 39.5 for a comfortable fit. Fit about half a size smaller than the tarantulace. They are just a little bit snug at the toe area for room to stretch in the future.

    My new favorite shoe

Great show, I have only been able to climb indoors with it so far but it fits and functions great!

    All-around tool

Add these shoes to your quiver! They can edge, smear, crack climb - you name it! I've re-soled my pair a few times, so they're now my go-to crack climbing shoes.

    High performance and comfort

I've owned about 5 different pairs of climbing shoes and the Katana Lace is by far my most used and highest performing shoe. I downsized a full size from my street shoe size (11.5 street --> 10.5 Katanas), the shoes took around a year to feel fully broken in, if I were to buy them again I would only downsize a half size since I'm not able to wear them as long as I like during long climbing sessions. I use the Katanas mostly for bouldering and sport climbing outdoors. The shoes edge incredibly well, great for slabby sport climbs in Joshua Tree. My only complaint would be that the rubber on the toe tends to wear pretty quickly, but as long as you don't drag your toes frequently this shouldn't be too much of a problem. The best part of this shoe is how comfortable they are, the material on the tongue provides great padding for crack climbing, and allows some ventilation to keep your feet from getting too hot. Overall, this is a great shoe made with the quality that you can expect from a brand like La Sportiva, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a versatile shoe that can take on moderate bouldering, hard sport, and trad climbing all while remaining comfortable and durable over the years.

    Great multi-pitch shoe!

These shoes are super comfy. I went with my street shoe size (8.5) because I knew I would be wearing them for long days. I would get another pair 1/2 size up from my street shoe size as well. Tons of padding on the upper, great rubber, and good for all around styles (crack, slab, overhanging). The only problem is that the rubber seems to wear pretty quickly on the toe. Be sure to try these on in store and test them. I had to return for a larger size because they hurt my heel and big toe too much. Make sure your foot is flat in the shoe and you will love these!
