Amazingly comfortable but fragile!

I was back and forth for months about buying a pillow for backpacking. I, like a lot of people, told myself it was unnecessary and clothes would do perfectly fine. I also thought inflatable pillows would be slippery and bouncy - not to mention overpriced. Then, after having to walk around all day with the impression of a button on my face from my 'clothes pillow', I saw the Sea to Summit Aeros UL (Regular) on here for 50% off and bought it. I was intrigued by the small packed size and weight (only 2 oz!). The regular is the perfect shape/size to fit snugly in the hood of my sleeping bag. The fabric feels nice against your skin, not at all tacky, hot and plastic like some inflatable stuff, yet able to be wiped down unlike the premium version of this pillow. I especially like Sea to Summit's valve system which allows for easy inflation, deflation, and even fine tuning to give it a bit of give for side sleepers; when fully inflated I did notice it hurt my ear after lying on one side too long but this was easily remedied by adjusting the firmness and not a problem unless you sleep on your side. Even when slightly deflated you cannot feel the air shifting under your head as you can with some cheaper models. I tested it out at home overnight and loved it so much I slept on it a second night and eventually a third. Why, then did I not give it 5 stars? Well, after the third night I woke up on a flat pillow and discovered 1/2" long section of the bottom seam had come unsealed. No big deal, I repaired it with some seam grip and it's as good as new. However, this was after just three nights of use indoors, two of which were spent in a bed and the last on a sleeping pad. What would have happened if I'd actually taken this out on a section hike or weekend trip in less favorable conditions? Definitely not as durable as I would have expected and/or liked but a fantastic product even so! I look forward to taking this out on all of my future treks and will be sure to carry some seam grip with me just in case.
